Hi,
Another question is as follows,
Some ____ ago, a friend of mine, who lives in the northern part of the
city, invited me to call on him.
a) moment b) times c) time d) day
The answer is c), but one of my students found another usage as "some
times ago," in the computer dictionary. Is it wrong or another possible
answer. Thanks.

No. "Some times ago" is wrong. "Times" is a plural, indicating
multiple occurances ("At times, I just want to scream.") or periods
("At some times, women had no right to hold property in their own
name.")

It is wrong. Google finds about 60,000 examples of that wrong phrase.
Perhaps non-native speakers are confusing it with phrases such as
"some years ago" or "some days ago", which are correct.

"Some times ago" might be used - but only as a personal or local
idiosyncrasy.
Some moments ago - but not some 'moment'
Some days ago - but not some 'day'
