"Thank you for your custom"

"Thank you for your custom."
Is the above considered valid/good usage of the word "custom", when
trying to say: "Thank you, customer, for buying stuff from my retail
outlet"?

Valid. But pretty old-fashioned.

Thanks.. It is the most succinct way of making the statement that I
can think of. I guess I don't mind being a bit old-fasioned if it
saves typing. But any suggestions for a more efficient, less
old-fasioned way of saying the same thing would be appreciated.
