Both seem to be correct, as
http://unabridged.merriam-webster.com (and I guess many other online
dictionaries) will give you:

Function: verb
Inflected Form(s): canceled or cancelled; canceled or cancelled;
canceling or cancelling \-s()li\; cancels

One can try
"your_term" dictionary
at
http://www.yahoo.com
and it will give you lots of dictionary entries.

The site you reference is a paid subscription site. A free Merriam-Webster
dictionary, based upon the 10th Collegiate, is located at www.m-w.com . And
a paid subscription Merriam-Webster site which costs less per year than the
unabridged site is at
http://www.merriam-webstercollegiate.com/info/eleventh.htm , the site of the
11th Collegiate.

If you use British English, it's "cancelled".

Afaiui, while BrE always doubles the final consonant (eg. travelled,
jewelled, cancelled), AmE only doubles it when the final syllable is
stressed (eg. controlled, rebelled but traveled, jeweled, canceled).

However you want. You will have to decide whether you want to be perceived
as an AmE writer (canceled) or as a BrE writer (cancelled). Since
parkserver.net is registered to D.M. Voos, Parkweg 117 a, Groningen, GR,
NL, I haven't a clue which form applies in your case.
