Did I hear that the Queen has clubbed a peasant to death?  I would
think she is too old to accomplish such a thing.

It's worse than that - the royal family later sat down to a roast
peasant lunch.  I believe that braising with onions, celery and
carrots brings out the flavour.

So long as the peasant is not to old and stringy. The braising helps
though.

It's easily done though, given their dozy nature.  I've run over peasants
on the way to work on several occaisions.

Actually, the breeders caused too many to be hatched last year, and you can
see cock peasants everywhere, including my garden on a couple of occasions.
The formal shoots get so many that they find it difficult to give them
away.

Come to think of it we had a peasant for Christmas dinner this year.
Disappointing.

She can only do it at certain times of the year, after their breeding
season. The 'glorious' 12th of August is the start, I think.
