Can anyone translate what this guy is saying? This is a portion of a review of The Antichrist by Friedrich Nietzsche. However, as one scholar noted, "the Antichrist is unrelievedly vituperative, and would indeed sound insane were it not informed in its polemic by a structure of analysis and a theory of morality and religion worked out elsewhere ... ." Maybe if you got used to using a dictionary you wouldn't have so much trouble. It seems clear enough to me, and the sort of thing you need to be able to understand if you're going to read Nietzsche. The two words which confused you mean "totally abusive in language". He means to say that the Antichrist is a very strong and aggressive polemic from beginning to end and that its aggression would make it sound insane if the was not informed by an intricate intellectual apparatus worked out in Nietzsche's other works.
