 Any chance this is a phonetic transcription off "Keep in touch" ?

Perhaps the phrase is "keep on task", a variant of "stay on task" meaning to maintain mental focus on one's duty/assignment without wandering, dalliance, daydreaming, or becoming sidetracked.
