Bartleby.com has poetry, fiction, and non-fiction at its site.

There are other possibilities, if that isn't it.

Project Gutenberg has lots of literature, all kinds.  All in public
domain.  It has some texts published in America as late as 1963,
available because the copyright was not renewed.

Most contemporary literature and modern translations of classical
literature are generally unavailable free on the Web because they are
usually still under copyright, and their authors and translators
naturally expect to be paid for their works. That's why most classical
literature exists on the Web only in antiquated public-domain
translations.

You'll find a few exceptions in the anthology I edited where we
provided our own translations of some selections free as a service to
educators and students.

For living in china it's hard to find some contemporary western
literature ,especially nowadays ,in order to know what is happening to
the literature in western and how they thinking .
there are some famous western fictions available in china ,such as
<jane love>,<the sorrows of young werther> etc.
so ,very inconveinent to buy books through national boundraies.
