W-a-a-a-a-y over on the right (Check your bottom scroll bar)

I see what you mean; odd.
Search box is in the correct place in Firefox, FWIW.

Did that. Yesterday and today, I can see an unclickable couple of words
(www . Master...) off to the right though not at the extreme right end.
The Google logo (at the left) is clickable, though, and takes one to
Google for searching. Is that, perhaps, the mode of search now being
used for Mastertexts?

No. IE7 presents the page normally.

Looks like I need to update. (And I wonder why I haven't yet done so.)

YMMV but my reason is that I always wait a good while before updating
*anything* so that I can be sure all the horror stories have been told and
all the urgent fixes made available. I have to say I'm inclining more to
the idea of Firefox than updating to IE7.

IE and Firefox are not, of course, mutually exclusive.
I'd suggest that if you haven't already tried Firefox you should do
so. Once you have gained experience with it you will be in a much
better position to make a decision about IE7.

Since I don't know anything about IE7, I rather doubt that.
Is Firefox compatible with Outlook Express + Quotefix?
