Hi! I'd be much obliged if you could tell me what, you think, "processing
losses" mean here:
"The sum insured is at least XXX euros fixed for property and financial
losses including processing losses".
This fragment comes from a certificate issued to a consulting engineers
company to confirm they have professioinal liability insurance.
Thank you!

The phrase is presumably defined by jurisprudence (EU law?)
concerning insurance claims. Everyday English cannot be
expected to produce unaided an exact meaning for jargon
of this type: this incapacity is why specialists generate jargon.

I would take it to mean the expenses incurred in the time and labor
involved in replacing the damaged items. In other words, the amount
includes reimbursement for more than just the direct cost of the
property replaced.

No definition lacking a reference to a statute or court
decision seems safe -- because you can always (at a
price) find a lawyer willing to argue otherwise.
