Today, my wife and I were chatting with a member of her curling team,
Connie. Connie said she hoped she could make it to tomorrow morning's
game.

She said that they had closed the church in Indian Head (a town) for
the winter, and that the congregation has been attending the church in
Qu'Appelle, (variously pronounced either 'ka-pell' or 'qua-pell'),
about 15 km from Indian Head. Connie had agreed to fill in for the
regular organist for the winter, so she was hoping she could get the
regular organist to do fill in tomorrow morning.

My wife suggested that the congregation could try singing without the
organ, and I just couldn't resist.

I said "So they'd be singing "a Qu'Apelle-a?"

The choristers here, near Mexico, sometimes get hold of some quality
sh.t and sing "Acapulco."
