I am having difficulty understanding the later part of the sentence - I guess it's because of I don't know what the jukebox is like. I would appreciate it if anybody would explain to me how to understand. Thank you.

Those u-shaped tubes (in the linked picture) were not just green and orange, they were vibrant green and orange. The probably pulsed with light and might have had tiny bubbles of light dancing within some fluid.

If you google on images of a jukebox, you can probably get the idea.

Our home server delivers at three megabits per second, minimum.
Your bottleneck is Level3.net over there in London and your own server. Nineteen hops to reach just your server, with serious slow downs in London, twice as slow there as here in America.

And who would have fingers big enough to operate that IPOD? Then there's the computer needed to load the music. It just keeps getting more confusing.

The recent album 'John Lennon's Jukebox' makes an interesting study of musical influences, whether you like the Beatles or not.

Jukeboxes are still out there, but they're not your father's jukebox. For the last few years, jukeboxes have had internet access and for a dollar (or whatever), you can download and play almost any song. Some songs are still hosted on the machine, but those are mostly tired, IMO. Of course, many establishments still have the CD jukeboxes, but they'll learn.

There is one cluttering up my garage, belonging to my younger son who has lived in France for the last fifteen years. One of these days he is going to find someone to transport it to him.
