At first I didn't understand "tilly room". I wondered whether it might be a quirky pronunciation of "telly room": a room equipped for and dedicated to the watching of TV program(mes). Then I got what "tilly" was an abbreviation of and thought: tilly room, Australian. A domestic garage for parking a ute. As for your question: No, the word has not yet made it into the OED. That particular "tilly" is a marked regionalism from a small part of southern Qld/ northern NSW. Most Australians have never heard of it. Not meaning "little", which I think is a coinage by Stella Gibbons in CCF. The old man who did the washing up was so taken with the "tilly mop" Flora gave him that, IIRC, he put it in a jar on the windowsill to look at, and continued doing the dishes with, I don't know, a handful of gorse or something. The official meaning is "Abounding in, or of the nature of, till or tenacious clay." I'm sure it would yield a fine crop of sukebind.
