The shortest complete sentence in the bible is "Jesus wept." Only object and
verb!

OK. I'll bite.

How do you reckon '"Jesus"' (or 'Jesus' for that matter) is an object
and not the subject?

Sorry, "object" (English) = "subjektiv" (Norwegian)

Does not.

"Jesus wept" consists of a subject (Norwegian "subjekt") and a
verbal (Norwegian "verbal"). The verse (John 11:35) in Norwegian
reads "Jesus gråt."

Norwegian "subjektiv" = English "subjective".

I'm not sure why you brought in the Norwegian, though.

He seems to be in Sweden.  Hmmm, that doesn't help, though.

If Jesus is God, can't he be both object and subject?

That recalls David Frost's response when asked if he thought Queen
Elizabeth would make a good interview subject: "The Queen is not a
subject."

I reserve the use of that word for people I know all too well.

Like you, maybe?

What a stupid thing to say. You should have your mouth washed out with
soap, whippersnapper.

ObCaptializationConventions: make it "can't He be both object and subject?"...

If one is a pantheist, are all pronouns referring to God reflexive by
definition?...r

Being the Trinity, isn't He a verb as well?

I've seen it said that "I am." is the shortest possible complete
sentence.  Not quite.  But it's the shortest possible complete _statement_.

A command can go even shorter: "Be."

Nope. I'm sure it was a mere slip of your pen, but it's *subject* and
verb.
