Hi,

This is an self-introduction of my friend.  Could somebody correct this
for him?  Thanks in advance.

==========================================================================
I think I am suitable for the post of Trade Assistant.  I have substantial
research experience in Physics accumulated through years of research at
several universities.  From the research, I have learnt how to tackle the
research problems.  I start it by understanding thoroughly what the
problem is about.  Then I'll try to solve the problem with my knowledge.
If that seems difficult, I'll discuss with my supervisors to see what they
can suggest to me on the next steps I can take. Absorbing new ideas and
knowledge from books and journal articles is necessary when researching
into new research problems.  I would borrow books from libraries and get
research articles from libraries or the internet to acquire the knowledge
I need for my ongoing research.  I am used to learning this way.  I also
have plenty of experience searching databases on internet for research
material.  During research, I analyzed a lot of results expressed in
graphs.  From the trends of the graphs, I need to interpret what they
represent, know the significance, and, in some cases, check whether they
behave as expected.  If the trends go in unexpected ways, I need to find
out the reasons to account for that.  Sometimes, we cannot predict how the
trends should vary beforehand.  But, with the trends on hand, we can still
determine the following steps of research.  I think the above research
experience is useful to work which is of research nature and requires
analysis of processed data.  Besides ample research experience, I have
good computer knowledge that the post may need.  I know use of PC
application software well, particularly the popular MS Office. I have
taken courses on a wide range of programming languages including C, C++,
Visual Basic and Java.  I know and understand each of them very well.  I
used C, Fortran 77 and Fortran 90 for my past Physics research.  I am
skillful at programming on these three programming languages.  I also know
web page creation and editing.  Once I wrote a web page that served as an
option calculator.  It asked for input from web visitors, calculated the
option prices at the back and showed the option prices to the web visitors
on the front after calculation.  I think my computer knowledge may be
helpful to the post though it has not detailed what computer skills it
needs for developing the computer system.  Lastly, I have a good command
of Chinese and English which the trade assistant certainly needs when
writing briefs.  All of the above skills and knowledge I have make me
believe I'll be competent at the job.

I believe I am suitable for the post of Trade Assistant.  I have substantial
research experience in Physics accumulated through (7) years of research at
the Universities of Geneva, Bejing and Edinburgh.
From the experience I gained here, I have learned how to understand a
research problem using
my extensive knowledge and by questioning appropriate people. I am adept at
researching
a subject using library material as well as internet sources. I also have
considerable experience
in the field of analysis of results and data.

Besides ample research experience, I have
good computer knowledge that the post may need.  I have knowledge of PC
application software well, particularly the popular MS Office. I have
taken courses on a wide range of programming languages including C, C++,
Visual Basic and Java.  I know and understand each of them well.  I have
used C, Fortran 77 and Fortran 90 for my past Physics research.  I am
skillful at programming on these three programming languages.  I also have
experience in
web page creation and editing; writing a web page that served as an
option calculator.  It asked for input from web visitors, calculated the
option prices at the back and showed the option prices to the web visitors
on the front after calculation.  I think my computer knowledge may be
helpful to the post though it has not detailed what computer skills it

of Chinese and English which the trade assistant certainly needs when

Alternatively, find a web site that tells you how to construct a CV
(curriculum vitae)
