What's the meaning of "two plus points" in:
"Two plus points are the prices (rarely more than $5 a head) and the
locations with many town hostels placed close to town centres."
Is it an idiom? I've googled for it but in vain.
Thanks for any help.

Two advantages, two good things, which in this case are the price and
the location. The opposite would be "minus points", which might be,
for instance, traffic noise and lack of an on-site restaurant.

Take it as "two positive points" or "two good points".
In any case, what is talked about are about two advantages of hostels -- low
prices and in-town locations.

A point is a "quality or feature" of something.
We talk about the "good points" or "bad points" of somebody or something.
A "plus point" is a good or favourable "quality or feature": an advantage.
A "minus point" is a bad or unfavourable "quality or feature": a disadvantage.

It might have been more obvious (or more-obvious) if it had been written
as "plus-points".

Or just "two pluses".
