Hi all,

I am wondering which one is correct:

1. This approach does not address our problem

2. This approach does not address To our problem

I incline to 2 but am not sure.

Thanks

it is "... address our problem".

The first. Most definitely.

The second would work with a different verb, such as "cater". I'm not
sure whether this entails a slight shift in meaning, though.

My real email address is constructed by swapping the domain with the
recipient (local part).

I'm only guessing here: since "address" means "speak to" the "to" is
unnecessary in this sentence.  "Cater", however, always takes a
preposition.

<Name of company> catered my daughter's wedding.

Actually, they did such a good job they deserve a plug: Design
Cuisine, located in the Shirlington area of Arlington County.  I have
no financial interest in them other than the healthy contribution I
made to their fisc at the time of the wedding,

Preferably neither.

People address people, "approaches" don't.
