Could anyone please help me understand the meaning of ""delivery or
attempts" in the following sentence:

"GPS will provide another verification of delivery or attempts."

The sentence is mentioned in a description of GPS-enabled vehicles.

Thank you in advance.

I assume that these are vehicles used for delivering parcels or other
items.

"Delivery" means handing the item to the person to whom it is addressed.

"Attempt" is an attempted delivery. If there is no one at the address to
receive the item then the delivery person will have attempted to deliver
the item but will not have actually delivered it.

The GPS device records the route travelled by the vehicle and also
records where and when it stops. So if the record shows that the vehicle
stopped at a particular address for a number of minutes then that is
treated as a record of a delivery or attempted delivery.

Suyashi, it would help if you provided more context in your
questions.  It shouldn't be necessary for responders to make
assumptions about the context.
