I haven't had a chance to watch the whole thing (too busy watching Torchwood, which was excellent) but I thought the chairman's opening remarks were quite entertaining. And David Crystal didn't look at all as I had imagined.

I have yet to see a Torchwood episode in full, probably because I watched Grease (again) last night, then the latest Doc Martin episode, also excellent.

Torchwood was extremely good. Some excellent acting, especially Peter Capaldi. And incredibly scary in somewhat unexpected ways.

I found it good but so scary in the unexpected expected ways that I honestly wasn't sure the main plot construct wasn't just possibly the most horrible thing I'd ever seen.

I enjoy good acting, of course, and scary sounds good. Would I be able to follow the plot, having missed a few episodes?

It was all on in a single week; five episodes over five nights. But it's being repeated on BBC3 starting next Friday, one episode per week. I'm not sure if you can get BBC3 though.
