Hello:

The "emerged," does it relate here to:

- showing up surprisingly in the modest neighbourghood?
- getting into the way of the traffic? (I see this as less probable,
but ...)

Daimler blocked.

"Emerging" usually means coming out of somewhere, in this case perhaps
an entrance or a narrow side-street.

To describe a car that has emerged as "the emerged car" is unusual.
Other writers might word it differently.

When I was 18 I went out with a girl who had been shagged by Anthony
Burgess (she said). She showed me a picture of her and AB in his back
garden. She was wearing a bikini. She was weird.
