I still don't get it. What does that Family Guy clip have to do with
bands and/or hands?

As Peter Griffin points out quite clearly, neither HANDS nor BANDS is "the
word"....r

Marius recently asked about a passage that said "the dark stockings held
up by black hands," and a lot of people said it must be "bands."

Whether this poster is merely chiming in or actually has fresh
information, I don't know. It would have helped for it to be posted
within the thread.
