I'm interested in the work of the architect Norman Foster. I heard about him
being commissioned for a redesign of the New York Public Library and I can
fine plenty of references to this from about two years ago. I can't find
anything more recent and I can't find anything about the state of said
project or whether it is indeed going ahead.
Anyone enlighten me?

Can't help;  I can't see it anywhere on the Foster + Partners website,
though, which suggests it's probably an abandoned scheme.

Or on hold until the economy improves.

Looks as if the money didn't materialise:

Ah, thanks. Even though I posted by mistake to the 'wrong' group I still get
an answer. Hoorah!

Also, on this group you may get more answers than you asked for.

For example, when you talk about a specific location of the New York
Public Library you have to name that branch, e.g. "NYPL, the Donnell
branch", or simply "the Donnell branch" or even simpler "The New
Amsterdam".  If you just say NYPL" New Yorkers assume that you refer
to the 5th Avenue @ 42nd branch, or to the institution, not to a
particular branch.

Well, that's half the fun.
If not 75%.

I was indeed referring to the 42nd Street branch. Hurrah for me! I got it
right!

My bad. I don't know how I got the idea you were referring to the
restructuring of the Donnell branch. On the second reading I realized
I was wrong.
