WHY THERE ARE SO MANY DEAD SOCIETIES IN ENGLISH SPEAKING COUNTRIES?

I remember 'Dead Poet's Society' is the name of a film years ago about how
an English professor tried to inspire his students to a love of poetry.
That is all I know about this matter.   Perhaps this is indirectly related
to what you are asking.
