FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Question : How long do the courses take ?
Answer   : There are NO deadlines , usually students take 4 - 6 weeks
to complete the Certificate and 6 - 8 weeks to complete the Diploma...
but it is up to you, work at your own pace, no pressure, no need to
apply for extension

Question : Can I split the payments ?
Answer   : Yes, we do have an interest free payment schedule, you can
pay in two or three monthly payments without any extra charge, you only
need to make the deposit to enrol in the course.For this we will need
your creditcard details or a draft payable to Robaco.

Question : What is the recognition status of your Institute ?
Answer   : Robaco was established in 1991 and offered TEFL/TESOL
distance learning Certificates while helping to set up the
Accreditation council for distance TEFL/TESOL
Teacher training courses, since then we diversified and were the first
to offer internet courses and now have ALL our courses externally
moderated, our external

SYLLABI and ENROLMENT

CERTIFICATE COURSE

(TAKES MOST STUDENTS BETWEEN 3-5 WEEKS AT 10-15 HOURS PER WEEK- But
there are no set deadlines!

Course Aims:
To give a grounding in the basic elements of Teaching English to
Speakers of other Languages.
To provide suitable examples of situations that teachers will be aware
of when teaching TESOL
To provide the structures for a solid approach to learning situations
in the classroom.
To encourage the teacher to have a creative approach towards the
learning situation for best results.
To provide suggestions for further reading and research.

Course Objectives:

By the end of the course the teacher should feel confident to enter the
classroom with groups of adults, young people or children and conduct
an effective lesson with full comprehension of progressive learning
sequences.
The teacher will be able to select the most effective material for any
class.
The teacher will be able to structure and plan for their lessons.

The teacher will be able to conduct successful structure/Grammar
lessons as part of formal and informal creative activities within the
classroom.

The teacher will have a thorough knowledge of tenses in the English
Grammar.

The teacher will be capable of a high standard of Classroom Management.

DIPLOMA COURSE

(TAKES MOST STUDENTS BETWEEN 6-8 WEEKS ONCE THEY HAVE SET THEIR
DISSERTATION TITLE, But we do not set deadlines!!  Work at your own
pace !! )

The Diploma Course is completely by Dissertation. Your tutor mentor
will help you to find a suitable title and you will work mainly on your
own with help from your Mentor for references and ideas etc.

Robaco recommend you complete the Certificate Course before attempting
a Diploma unless you are already a qualified Teacher.
There is also an element of assessed teaching practice for the Diploma
which can be done at one of our schools or a school of the student's
arrangement.

M.TEFL

M.TEFL is in two modules , It usually takes at least 6 months to one
year to complete , but again there are no deadlines.if you have already
completed the Certificate and Diploma Courses you can move straight to
the final module for the M.TEFL Award. External moderation as stated.
