I just came across "forecasted" in a publication, and it does
seem to be written that way intentionally, and not a mistake.

I would have thought "forecast" is the only possible form.

Is "forcasted" considered correct ? And if so, is it correct
on both sides of the pond ?

Google finds some 2.8 million instances so it does appear
to be fairly common.

According to the Merriam-Webster On-Line Dictionary forecasted is an
acceptable alternative form: "Inflected Form(s): forecast also
fore·cast·ed; fore·cast·ing"

I must also say that both forms feel OK to me.

Which is as good a reference as any. Thanks.
