An english counterpart of a polish saying

We have a saying in Polish the meaning of which is that you become like the
people you associate/hang out with. I would like to find out if there is an
english counterpart of that saying.

The nearest I think would be someone is known by / judged by the company
he keeps.

There is another one, not quite so apt, but does refer to relationships:
Water seeks its own level.

"Judge a man by the company he keeps" might be the closest equivalent, but
there is another one, similar in meaning I guess - "Birds of a feather flock
together"
