purchase/procurement

Hello!
i would like to ask you the difference between the words "purchase" and
"procurement"
could anybody help?

Let me try....
Procurement is activity to make an object available for use. Purchasing
is one of procurement activity, the others are leasing, barter, etc.

purchase means to buy something with money. procurement means to attain soemthing perhaps without the use of money.

So a purchase can be a procurement but a procurement may not be a purchase.
