For the UK - it depends on the course and institution. There are, for
example, MSc in Information Technology (for people without an IT-related
degree), and MSc in Information Technology (for people with an
IT-related degree).
Many degrees at Master's level tend to be either research oriented,
which suggests they would have a pre-requisite of an *appropriate*
Bachelor's, or vocational, which suggests you have an idea of what you
want to work as after the Masters.
