I have no idea what a beanie weenie is. That happens to be your comfort
food. It stands to reason that in various reigons, and or countries, that it
will very greatly. I can, however, assure you that in my area of the USA it
is primaraly used to refer to food which is high in fat and/or sugar.
It has been proven that when you ingest the formentiond foods that your body
sends out reward signals, via dopamine. That is why " most " people crave
junk food, high in fat and sugar.

Or conversely different people would eat different foods for comfort.
Anyone who knows what high-fat and high-sugar foods are doing to their
chances of living to a ripe old age would not be too "comfortable"
with that knowledge :)

The junk food also contains Trans-Fats which have now been linked to
early
onset of things like heart/blood vessel conditions, secondary diabetes
and Alzheimers.

Not a comforting thought -:)
