I´d like  to know the meaning of "special k", I mean, exactly what
kind of drug it is (cocaine, or what). And I´d life to know the meaning of
this sentence (the second one):

"Can the savior be for real?
---> Or re you just my seventh seal?"

I suposse you know "special k" and this two sentences are part of the
lyrics from a Placebo´s song. Thank you.

"Special K" is a healthy and nutritious breakfast cereal that can help
weight loss only as part of a calorie controlled diet :-)

However I expect it refers to ketamine, which as far as I know is a horse
tranquilliser.

I think Howard Dean's wife might've prescribed him some of that after
his screeching loss in Iowa.

Why have the media hyped up the shortcomings of Dean's speech? Is it because
he's disliked?

Do you think the media would hype up the president any less if his short
comings
were as apparent?

He was the front-runner which makes him a target for everyone, his
political opponents, comedians, usenet posters....

Ketamine is a Schedule III non-barbiturate dissociative anesthetic,
marketed as Ketalar by Parke-Davis.  It is used in human beings on rare
occasions for short and simple surgical procedures when other, more
common anesthetic agents are unsuitable (e.g., a history of malignant
hyperthermia, IIRC, a need to avoid depressing the CNS, etc.).  It
doesn't work like other anesthetics, which is both good and bad,
depending on the clinical picture.  It can cause strong hallucinations
and unpleasant emergence experiences, and so normally it is administered
with something like Versed to induce post-op amnesia. It is suitable for
light anesthesia but not deep or prolonged anesthesia.  It appears to be
a CNS stimulant and can induce cataleptic states. Two relatively common
legitimate ("extra label") uses in human beings are pediatric anesthesia
and analgesia for burn treatments.

Ketamine is used far more frequently today for animal anesthesia than
for human anesthesia, since there are other, more suitable agents for
human beings.  It was used a lot in the Vietnam war, though.  It was
discovered in 1961.

Special K is a trademark registered by the Kellogg company in the United
States for a type of ready-to-eat cereal.  The corresponding logo is a
stylized representation of the first letter of the company founder's
name in his own handwriting.  The trademark was first used in 1955.

The seventh seal is almost certainly a reference to the seven seals in
the Revelation (the last book in the Christian bible).  Chapter 8,
version 1 reads:

"And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven
about the space of half an hour."

Its exact significance is unknown.  (Revelation is written in a
mystical style.)  However, it is usually thought to symbolise
something terrible - though some commentators suggest it symbolises
the return of control of Jerusalem to the Jews.

Have a look at http://www.keyway.ca/htm2002/sevnseal.htm for a bit
more info if you're interested.
