Hello..

I am looking for resources (web & software) that can be used to
teach 5-6 year old children the basics of English.  This would
start from the visual recognition of letters, moving on to their
sound, and finally to forming words.

Thanks in advance..

G'day Mate,
As a TESOL teacher with reasonable success I went for understanding
of spoken English first.  Reading can be fun if the kids understand what
they are doing and songs and games help.  This only works for kids from
3yo to 80yo in my experience.
If you're fair dinkem I'll send you my addy and we can talk about it
more.  My experience is only in Australia and a few places in Japan
where I had my own school.
G'donya,
John in Sydney.
