The energy which is expended in mere thinking, talking or writing is
like the steam which escapes through the whistle of the railway engine.
The whistle makes a noise, and is even interesting, but it cannot drive
the engine forward.  No amount of whistling can move the engine forward.
The steam has to be harnessed and used intelligently in order that it
may actually take the engine to its destination.  That is why the sages
have always insisted on practice rather than theory.

gendo: a way of thinking...
language as a path to liberation...

.unconscious, erroneous assumptions imposed upon our thinking
by the structure of the language (english) running in our
skulls are responsible for most of what is wrong with the
world in both the personal and planetary domains

.let's talk

when:  wednesday and saturday afternoons, between 3 and 5
where: the cafe at Borders Books (91 at Bloomfield in Cerritos)

.look for the black and red gendo logo on my dark blue notebook
that will be on the table

Had scratches etched in the walls and ceilings from, presumably, fingers of
the dying.  If they were Christians, do you think Jesus would have helped them
in their 1/2 hour of despair?  At least enough to leave the walls and ceilings
untouched and pristine, Christine?  Prayer helps the meek, remember.
Cleanliness is next to godliness.
