Hi!

I have to translate a curriculum which is about something like 'Mechanical
Engineering Construction Technology'
Does this make any sense whatsoever in English? I should mention that it
sounds strange in the original as well.

Is there a course of study in the UK that has this name?

There seems to be one in Germany:

Just reading the title as English, I would expect such a course to
focus on the original construction of the equipment that a mechanical
engineer is expected to operate and maintain. But that's just a guess.
Or perhaps 'Mechanical Engineering Construction & Technology' is
intended?

When I entered ''Mechanical Engineering Construction Technology', it also
reported back a website of a German university (Technische Universitet
Dresden) so it's probably a course of study offered by German universities.
Your description is just the thing Im translating.

I think I will leave it as it is (not with Construction & Technology), as I
added the Technology part which didn't exist in the original. Im happy to
know this makes sense for a native speaker of English because I was afraid
of using false pairs.
