What is the correct pronounciation of the word 'proboscis'? The letter
c is pronounced as c or as k.
Thanks in advance.

It would have been easier if you had answered the question.

You might have a chance of having serious questions answered if you had
bothered to take the time and trouble to look up the answer yourself
and not been such a wise-a.s in response. Now you're going into my
killfile because you're a lazy son of a bitch of a grasshopper who
thinks the world owes him a living. Get your maid to answer your
questions from now on.

There are basically three places you should go, Khalid,

We have:

http://dictionary.cambridge.org

...and

http://www.m-w.com

...and

I think you can guess where else people contributing their free time to
help language learners and teachers in real need would like to send
you.

Sincerely,
