Hi,

I hope I am in the right newsgroup.

Some years ago I saw someone using a sentence similar to:

"This is very good a car."
vs
"This is a very good car."

Is this wrong? If not, how do you do decide which form to use?

In English the article usually comes before the adjective  - or in this
case the adverb modifying the adjective.

The first sentence you cite is totally incorrect.

"If not, how do you decide which form to use?"

(Unless of course, the extra 'do' was merely a typing error!)
