Anyone else bemused by the lyrics of "Gravity" by Embrace (actually
penned by Chris Martin of Coldplay), which is getting a lot of airplay
at the moment?
Lots of "you and me" to start with. Fine.
And then, without warning, hypercorrection kicks in: we get "on you and
I" to rhyme with "sky".
Is this just a cheap rhyme or are we witnessing language change in front
of our eyes?
Any other high profile hypercorrections you can think of?

It's a cheap rhyme - it's been happening for centuries and hasn't
cahnged the language significantly.
