Exactly.
Thanks

I wrote bouqet without "U". Therefore I stuck and couldn't get rid of this
word from my mind.

In which case, you should have written:

'I wrote "bouqet" without the "U"' or even 'I wrote "bouqet" without the
second "U"'

and

Therefore I got stuck

Hope this helps!

If you wish to keep up appearances, don't pronounce it like "bucket".

Entente, entendre, menage, esprit, corps, laissez faire, haricot (although
many people pronounce the "h") to name but a few.

I guess that French words that were adopted a long time ago probably
have anglicised pronunciations while those which have been adopted
more recently, since French was taught in schools, say, are pronounced
much as the French say them.  It probably depends on whether the word
gets into circulation before the uneducated get hold of it.

It also depends on whether a French word or phrase sounds like a
phrase in English, in which case it is often mangled, like
"merci beacoup et s'il vous plait" becomes "mercy buckets and silver
plates".
"Bouquet" often becomes "bucket" for humorous reasons.
"Billet doux" became "billy doo" to my grandparents' generation.

Mind you, the French do much the same:
"Thank you very much" becomes "Sans cailloux, vers ni mouches".
