HNY!

Just sent to another n/group:

"As do I. My wife, however (who uses PCs at school), uses a Mac and I
do believe that she is soon to pass her spare MacMini over to me. Don't
get me wrong; I love RISC OS; I hate MacOS; but I'm not immortal and I
really would like to see on a computer the digital photos I've taken
sometime before the world ends in 2012."

It's the last bit. It just doesn't sound right. Originally, I had "I
really would like to see the digital photos I've taken on a computer
sometime before the world ends in 2012." But that sounded even worse.
All the variations I've tried don't seem to work. I'm stumped! Just a
few minutes into the new year - the explosions still occurring! - only
three glasses of port, and I can't sort out a simple English sentence.

HELP!!!!!!

Tricky one!  How about  "... but sometime before the world ends in 2012  I
really would like to see on a computer the digital
photos I've taken ."

Such clarity of thought so early in the new year! Drink always seems to
get my main bruddled.

I'm optimistic in a nervous sort of way.
The world-as-we-know-it could end before 2012, but I would really
like to live until then, even if only to get a free TV licence.
