Can sb please explain to me, why all the messages from this group get
automatically deleted once a week?
I subscribe to many different groups from all over the world, my computer is
set not to delete any messages automatically and it generally obeys my
orders :). Everything is fine with all other news groups except this one.
Why? What's the trick?

I've got no idea - I've got the opposite problem: I've actually set my
browser up to delete messages oleer than 7 days, but in this newsgroup I
can still find messages from last October!!!

Nice. A self-willed stubborn little group....
Let's wait. Maybe sb will tell us, what to do.

There are two factors affecting this: the settings of your news reader,
and the retention policy of your usenet server. The first you can do
something about- find out where the settings are changed, and fiddle
about- while the second is beyond your control.

I've tried fiddling. Nothing helps.
Ok, I give up.

If you have worldwide web access you should be
able to get USENET via google groups. There're
other solutions--reconfiguring your newsreader
to a free feed that's independent of your ISP,
for example. Try groups in news:news
