Do you often say "How long are you going to be?" meaning "How long will it
take you to get here?"
Correct me if I'm wrong but to my mind it looks quite colloquial, and I

I see a lot of occurrences of an English phrase pattern where a verb
(transitive?) is followed by a possesive pronoun and the word "way."
Some real examples are:
1. He couldn't act his way out of a paper bag.

I think all the above are correct. But how about these?
