He deserves punishing.
My grammar book says it is wrong, because "punish" has a noun
"punishment". So it should be written: "He deserves punishment."
I'm doubtful of this, becuase I saw a similar sentence in my

tell me about what the "Meddy Army" is doing in "Bazra."
Are these people unable to read?  Or do they mangle these words
intentionally as a kind of passive-aggressive dig at the Arabs?
