I have seen this question of "this vs. next" Friday posted with the given start date as MONDAY. My question is a little different. Let's say it's the afternoon of FRIDAY the 12th and you are meeting with a friend.

I'd like to ask two questions concerning 'and'. First, is the sentence in (1) grammatical, without the use of adverbs like 'too' or 'also'? If it's grammatical, does it mean that John and Marry will marry each other, or that they will marry different people? Or both?
