From Merriam-webster¹s 11th collegiate dictionary,
the definition of "aside from" has two meanings. It seems to me both
definitions are contradictory or conflicting to each other.

Shouldn't it be "A spring and a summer are ~seasons~ in the year.?

I consider English is a rhythmical language. In my opinion, its
