What is important to study English?
Writing, Reading, Listening, Speaking ...
Please tell me everybody's thinking.

I was taught in school, when I was growing up, that the ending quotation
mark always goes after the period.  However, in college, I'm noticing that's
not always what is happening.  Same as when I sometimes read news articles.
For example:

I would like to have conversation with someone to improve my English
speaking skill. I have been in United States for years but I do not have
much chance to have conversation with someone who is an English-speaker.
Most of time we are only greeting each other such as "hello, how ...

I got small request for You. I need to write short opinion in one of three
subjects:
1) Books are old fashioned
2)The printed word will never die.

Hello, I am operating a homestay in British Columbia, Canada and my
