I found the following in 'Of Mice and Men' by Steinbeck.
'Evening of a hot day started the little wind to moving among the
leaves.'
Why is 'started' followed by 'to' + 'moving'?

some context:
I don't know why people assume weed is worse for you than tobacco. Tobacco
is f.cking horrible, its got 1500 different toxins and Smoking it only
makes matters WORSE by far.

or
