I know a gunslinger is a Wild West character highly skilled in using
a gun (mostly a revolver), and using his skills for less than perfectly
legal purposes.
But I am curious what the "slinger" part of the word refers to.

Hi,  I've been offered a teaching position at a school in Opole,
starting at the end of September.  I need to look over the contract
first, but so far it looks like a good school.
Is anyone else in a similar position, or has taught in Poland before?
