Chinese (Mandarin) is enormously different from English. The size of the
difference is one of the reasons that teaching by translation causes so many
problems.
Let us consider the basic pronouns.

Dear Folks,
I have been teaching English in Taiwan more or less since September,1987. I
intend to post articles about my experience, thoughts about the language
learning process, methods that I  have found successful, and so on.

Has anyone here ever seen research on teachers becoming students to
help their reflective teaching? In other words, an ESL teacher taking a
language class specifically as research to improve their own teaching?
I am having trouble finding any literature on this kind of thing.
